The AI News App That Talks to You—and Listens Too

And our top AI story of the week

In partnership with

Hello readers,

Welcome to the AI For All newsletter! Today, an AI tool for generating personalized podcasts on demand, the industries leading in AI adoption, and more!

AI Toolkit: Huxe

What: Huxe is an AI-powered news and information app that creates personalized audio briefings, on-demand podcasts, and “live radio” streams tailored to your interests. It pulls from your calendar, email, and preferred topics to create a custom podcast you can interrupt and steer in real time. It’s free for now, available on iOS and Android, and made by the same minds behind Google’s NotebookLM.

How: Each morning, Huxe generates a podcast-style briefing based on your chosen topics, with the option to include updates from your calendar and inbox. While the calendar summaries are often genuinely helpful (because your calendar is usually signal, not noise), the email summaries can be hit-or-miss, sometimes spotlighting newsletters or promotions you didn’t really want to hear about. The most impressive feature, though, is on-demand DeepCasts: ask a question like “what is quantum computing?” or “how does the U.S. electoral college work?” and Huxe instantly generates a short podcast in response.

You can also create live stations around topics like “NVIDIA stock” the app turns them into 24/7 audio feeds that update whenever you tune in. And while you’re listening, you can literally talk back and pause the hosts to ask follow-up questions, then resume like nothing happened.

Why: Huxe isn’t perfect, there’s limited control over news sources, and you might miss the ability to fine-tune coverage if you’re picky about your sources. But it makes up for that with ease of use, a surprisingly natural audio format, and a refreshingly low-friction experience. It’s especially strong when you want an objective, conversational overview of a topic you’d normally Google or skim Wikipedia for, and the weather summaries in the daily briefings feel almost charming in how human they sound. There’s room for refinement, but the core idea is solid, and it’s one of the more creative takes on AI-powered personalization we’ve seen in a while.

Our favorite part: The DeepCast feature is genuinely useful. Being able to say “give me a quick podcast on how interest rates affect the housing market” and get something listenable while brushing your teeth is definitely convenient. The voice interaction is also clever—interrupt to go deeper or pivot entirely, and Huxe rolls with it.

Pricing:

  • Free (for now): Full access to daily briefings, DeepCasts, interactive listening, live stations, and calendar/email integration. No ads encountered (yet).

Deals or promotions: No paid tier or ads at time of writing, but expect premium features or monetization in the future.
